OUR VISION

Nurturing disciples of Jesus Christ to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly before God.

In addition to ascribing to the AME Church’s mission, vision, and purposes, MICAH has as its foundational scripture, Micah 6:8

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God (NIV).

Micah 6:8 summarizes the simple truths of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ that is to:

1. do justly: work for fairness and equality for all, especially the weak and the powerless who are exploited by others

2. love mercy [kindness]: demonstrate faithful love in relationships between individuals and between individuals and God

3. walk humbly before God: carefully and circumspectly walking with God and putting Him first in our lives by conforming our will to His will.

Helping individuals mature as Christians is a privilege and should not be taken lightly or done haphazardly. It has eternal consequences. MICAH will diligently strive to be a nurturing ministry that helps individuals to become disciples of Jesus Christ. To achieve its vision, the people of MICAH will endeavor to be a ministry that is centered on Jesus Christ and has Holy Spirit-led worship, preaching, teaching, evangelism, service, and community engagement and building as its priorities.

To God Be The Glory For The Great Things He Has Done!
